Jeff Hawkin's created the Palm Pilot years ago and still is a prominent figure in the world of personal, digital computing. Jeff is optimistic about the PDA Palm OS industry's future...a refreshing counterpart to the "doom and gloom" bandwagon prevalent today. It appears that the next step in the evolution of the Palm OS would be the Treo, Palm's smartphone line of products. Call me "old school", but, unless there are better ways to input on the Treo other than its current, best option of using the keypad, I won't be getting a smartphone for the time being. Moreover, I'd like to see in the future the evolution of a thinner form-factor for these smartphones.
