Being originally from the San Francisco bay area and having grown up during the 60's-80's, that's saying a lot. During this period we've had Charlie Finley's Oakland A's and the "Bash Brothers" of the 80's; Al Attle's Golden State Warriors and later "Run TMC"; The Forty-Niners' (christened The Team of the 80's) domination through the 80's and early 90's.
In spite of the rich history of Nor Cal sports, this play has got to be the greatest, not only in NCAA history but in all of sports history. I was a student at Cal at the time and would attend the games, but for some reason I missed this Big Game. Who cares? My blood still runs Blue and Gold.
"You know it! You tell the story! You tell the whole d--n world this is Bear Territory!"
